What you're actually agreeing to.
You're a 1099 contractor. You can't poach Gogos-sourced students off the platform for 12 months. You own your lesson plans; we have a hosting license. Either side can end this with 14 days' notice. California law; arbitration in San Francisco; you can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of signing. You confirm that you are legally allowed to work in the territory of the United States of America.

Independent contractor
You're a 1099 contractor, not an employee. You set your hours, your rates within Gogos' range, and which subjects you teach. We don't withhold taxes — you handle those.
Payment
Gogos provides hourly payment to tutors once a class is proven to be successfully completed. Gogos may hold funds for up to 30 days and contact tutors if an additional verification process is needed.
Non-solicitation (12 months)
While you're an active tutor and for 12 months after, you can't book a Gogos-sourced student outside the platform. This protects the cancellation, recap, and safety systems that the family signed up for.
Content ownership
You own the lesson plans and materials you create. Gogos has a non-exclusive license to host them inside the platform so students can re-read them, unless otherwise discussed or contracted with the relevant tutor(s). We don't republish or sell your materials.
Termination
Either party can end the agreement with 14 days' notice. We can terminate immediately for safety violations or repeated policy breaches. You can leave immediately if you stop receiving bookings.
Dispute resolution
Governed by California law. Disputes go through mediation first, then binding arbitration in San Francisco. Class-action waiver, opt-out window of 30 days from signing.
